A man has been charged with the murder of a 51-year-old woman.
Michelle Hodgkinson died in Edge Lane, Droylsden, Greater Manchester, as she walked to visit her mother.
Paul Hughes, aged 29, has been charged with her murder and is set to appear in court later this week.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said the charges comes after a “lengthy investigation”, with anyone with information about the attack urged to contact detectives.
