Liverpool have been dealt an injury blow after Ibrahima Konate limped off at half-time against Brighton with an apparent arm issue.
The defender was assisted off the pitch by two members of the Reds’ medical team and appeared in serious discomfort while using his shirt as a makeshift sling.
Konate was given treatment as the players walked off the pitch at the break and gingerly climbed to his feet before hobbling down the Anfield tunnel.
He did not remerge for the second half with Joe Gomez, who was spotted undergoing an intensive warm-up during the interval, taking his place.
