A woman is being quizzed on suspicion of murdering a man who was found dead at a property on Sunday morning.
The man, aged in his 50s, was discovered by emergency services at about 07:30 GMT at Hope Hey Lane in Little Hulton, Greater Manchester Police said.
Following a post mortem examination, detectives believe the man had been assaulted.
The woman, aged in her 40s, remains in custody for questioning and officers have asked anyone with information or video footage from the area to get in touch.
