Lidl has recalled Deluxe Irish Carved Peppered Turkey Breast as it shows an incorrect use-by date.

This makes it unsafe to eat and customers have been warned not to consume it. The recall is specific to products sold in Northern Ireland Lidl stores.

The supermarket continued: “Customers are advised not to consume the product. Instead the product can be returned to the Lidl store where it was purchased with or without a receipt.”

Lidl apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and urged them to contact their Customer Service Team on 01 920 3010 (Republic of Ireland) or 0289 568 4888 (Northern Ireland).

This comes as Asda recalled some batches of baby food product Nutramigen LGG Stage 1 and stage 2 (400G).

The supermarket issued this recall following an isolated overseas sample of the product testing positive for Cronobacter Sakazakii. Symptoms caused by Cronobacter sakazakii usually include fever and diarrhoea.
