Puka Nacua is one half of an elite wide receiver duo in the NFL alongside Cooper Kupp. The Los Angeles Rams may have to spilt up the pair with interest coming from around the league for Kupp’s services.

The Rams are setting up to be sellers at the NFL’s trade deadline with plenty of talent on their roster for contending teams to inquire about. Nacua spoke out on the possibility of losing Kupp or quarterback Matthew Stafford this week.

Los Angeles is 2-4 as Kupp and Nacua have been injured for long stretches this season. Both receivers have recently returned to practice in hopes of playing on Sundays again soon.

If the Rams don’t see promise for their current core, they could use it as capital to gain picks by getting rid of Kupp.

‘Two veteran guys who are core to what we’re trying to do here at the Rams organization. Yeah, that wouldn’t feel great,’ Nacua said of trading away Stafford or Kupp on The Zach Gelb Show.

Cooper Kupp's days in Los Angeles could be numbered as the NFL's trade deadline approaches

Kupp’s teammate Puka Nacua truly hopes his fellow receiver or Matthew Stafford are not dealt

Nacua added he hopes the rumors of splitting up him from Kupp or Stafford are not true.

The Rams also have running back Kyren Williams, who have been arguably the team’s best player through six games.

Williams have not seen his name attached to any trade rumors as the deadline approaches.

The Rams had hoped to recreate the form that saw them make the postseason last year and win the Super Bowl in 2022. Los Angeles seems a far cry from that right now.

This year’s NFL trade deadline appears to be one of the most active in recent memory in part due to the rash of player injuries that have ravaged the league in its first seven weeks.

Only time will tell if the Rams talent gets poached.
