The King has hardly seen Archie since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US in 2020, and the monarch may have only seen Princess Lilibet once, according to a royal commentator.

The couple had barely used the royal residence over the last three years and issued a statement confirming they had asked to vacate the proper in 2023.
Royal commentator Michael Cole labelled the lack of time the King gets to spend with Archie and Lilibet as “very sad”.
Cole said: “When the King asked Prince Harry and his wife to vacate Frogmore Cottage, Harry said ‘doesn’t the King want to see his grandchildren’.
“Well, the fact is he is not seeing his grandchildren.

“He has hardly seen Prince Archie and I am not sure he has even since Princess Lilibet more than once. It is a very sad state of affairs.”
The Duchess of Sussex avoided returning to Britain throughout 2023 and her absence looks likely to continue after Harry turned down an invitation to reunite with his family in 2024.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding which will take place during the summer of 2024.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Catherine are all expected to attend the event.

However, sources close to the Sussexes claim that the couple turned down the invitation due to fears it would be “too awkward”.
The Duchess of Sussex was last in the UK for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
Prince Harry attended King Charles’s Coronation on his own in May 2023 after his wife decided to stay away from the landmark event.
Meghan also chose not to join Harry at the WellChild Awards in September 2023 despite travelling to Germany for the Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games just days later.
