Princess Kate has a “trusted inner circle” as the duchess battles cancer, royal sources have claimed.

The Princess of Wales has spent a lot of time at Anmer Hall in Norfolk as she steps back from the spotlight to concentrate on her cancer treatment.

According to insiders, Kate, 42, has a close-knit circle of friends to support her during this period.

A source claimed: “Kate feels more at home in Norfolk. She’s got several close friends there.

“The Van Cutsems live nearby and so do Tom and Polly Coke.

“Laura Meade is a close source of comfort for the princess and so are the Carter girls.”

Other close ladies in Kate’s life include Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Sophie Snuggs, and Natasha Archer, the princess’s personal stylist.

Though they have a strong connection to Norfolk, the couple spend term time in Windsor due to their children’s schooling.

The proximity of Adelaide Cottage to Lambrook School is extremely convenient for the couple.

Kate also has the support of close friends when the Wales family is in Windsor, notably cricketer Kevin Pietersen and his wife Jessica Taylor.

The source continued to tell OK!: “Kate has got a set of friends in the Windsor area, but they are relationships she has built through the children’s friendships with their children.

“It’s a very different dynamic to the set she has in Norfolk.

“Those friends are the ones she can discuss anything with while she can be rather closed off to others.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, plays a vital role in the Wales family.

This is despite Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her siblings, Pippa and James, living close by in Berkshire.

After 10 years of service to the prince and princess, Borrallo has assimilated into the family.
