Princess Kate wore intentional jewels during her first appearance since her cancer diagnosis, a style expert has claimed.

The Princess of Wales wowed royal fans all over the world during her first public sighting in 2024 with her beautiful Jenny Packham dress.

Kate, who has been undergoing chemotherapy over the past few months, paired the dress with a Philip Treacy hat and Jimmy Choo heels.

But according to a style expert, it was the princess’s earrings that stole the show.

Kate donned 18ct yellow gold pearl and diamond earrings at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, still available to buy from Cassandra Goad for a whopping £5,620.

The first time the Princess of Wales wore these jewels was in 2018 for Prince Louis’ christening.

Tobias Kormind, the managing director of Europe’s largest online diamond jeweller 77 Diamonds, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain the significance of these earrings.

He said: “What a delight to see Kate! She notably donned pearl earrings.

“Pearls are a symbol of purity and wisdom and the round shape of pearls is sometimes said to be linked to the moon, which is believed to have a feminine energy associated with nurturing and motherhood.

“Style-wise, what’s so enduringly appealing about pearls is the gentle light they throw on the face.

“It makes them such an attractive choice and so easy to wear, especially on those occasions when you need to look impeccable, which Kate does brilliantly.”

The earrings may also have been a touching choice for Kate, as she wore them for one of her last public engagements in 2023.

The mother-of-three paired the earrings with a Miu Miu red festive jumper to meet individuals who support children and families in anticipation of the ‘Royal Carols: Together at Christmas’ concert on Christmas Eve.

On January 17 it was announced that Kate had been hospitalised for major abdominal surgery.

Two months later, the Princess of Wales recorded a video announcing she was undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy.

Kate has subsequently been recuperating in private at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
