Prince William, 42, took to social media to mark the Princess of Wales’s 43rd birthday today with a new photograph taken by Matt Porteous.
Kate, who turned 43 today, looked casual in a black jacket, white blouse, checked scarf and jeans for the new picture.
The Prince of Wales captioned the post: “To the most incredible wife and mother.

“The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable.
“George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W”.

The Princess of Wales had a difficult year in 2024 after being hospitalised for abdominal surgery in January.
In March, she emotionally announced she was beginning a course of preventative chemotherapy.

In September, the princess revealed she had completed her treatment.
She began slowly returning to royal duties, including attending the Qatari State Visit and Remembrance Sunday.
Kate also held her annual Christmas carol service on December 6, attended by several senior royals.
