Princess Kate showed a “moment of concern” that was quickly overcome during the Christmas day appearance as she wore a unsmiling expression, suggesting she may have been feeling “tiredness”, according to a body language expert.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, accompanied by their three children, joined King Charles and Queen Camilla on their annual walk to St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.
Prince William put an “ignited smile” on his wife’s face with Kate’s instant smile highlighting their recent support for each other, the expert revealed.
According to body language expert Judi James, Kate’s instant smile was “perhaps the biggest body language cue of the current relationship” between the Waleses.

James said: “She looked across at William and they exchanged a glance that came with an ignited smile, meaning her expression responded to his grin with an instant and wide smile of her own.
“His strongest moment of support here came at a distance then, but it was a powerful tie-sign between them nevertheless and with that response smile in place, Kate went out to greet the fans looking genuinely happy and touched.”
The Princess of Wales received gifts from royal enthusiasts and exchanged kind words of festivities.
James noted Prince Williams’s efforts throughout the year to “embrace, cherish and protect his wife through her health battles”, highlighting the Princess of Wales’s social media video in September, where she announced she had completed preventative chemotherapy.

Speaking on William, James said: “His smiles would be a given as the late Queen’s legacy is all about stoicism, although there was a glimpse of some edge-to-edge teeth behind his lips that hinted at inner tension, even though he knew that Sophie and even the very dashing and experienced Jonny Thompson were close by Kate all through her Christmas outings and keeping the most caring of eyes on her.”
James said that during her “moment of concern,” William comforted the Princess of Wales with his smile, which was exactly the remedy needed to reassure Kate and give her the support she needed to carry on.
