A jewellery brand has released a new pair of £27 earrings to mark Princess Kate’s birthday.
The Princess of Wales is celebrating her 43rd birthday today alongside her husband, Prince William, and three children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Ear Sass, a jewellery brand launched by Sophie McGown in 2020 after her cousin Issy Phipps took her own life, has released a new pair of earrings called “The Catherine” in honour of Princess Kate’s birthday.
Kate first wore jewels from the brand on World Mental Health Day in 2023, when she attended an official engagement wearing the “Issy Star” earrings.

With every pair of earrings sold from Ear Sass, £5 is donated to the mental health charity Brave Mind.
After Kate wore the “Issy Star” earrings, McGown told The Mail: “Having Catherine’s support feels beyond words, especially after she wore the Issy Star earrings on World Mental Health Day.
“To say it meant the world to us as a family would be an understatement.
“It wasn’t just that she wore the earrings – it was the way she did it, with the utmost compassion and thoughtfulness.”

Kate’s endorsement sparked a surge in sales, raising £17,000 for Brave Mind and helping to promote the brand’s popularity on the world stage.
Ear Sass has now released £27 rose gold “Catherine” earrings in the shape of a C to mark Kate’s birthday.
McGown continued to tell the Mail: “Ear Sass began as a dream – a creative spark that lived in my mind for years. When lockdown came along, it felt like the perfect time to turn that dream into reality.
“Creating has always been my safe space, especially during tough times with mental health, and it brings me a sense of peace and purpose. I’ve always loved connecting with people, so I wanted to spread joy through fashion, helping others feel fabulous with bold, statement designs.”

She added: “For us, fashion is not just about accessories – it’s about connection, joy and making the world a brighter place.”
Ear Sass is committed to mental health advocacy, ensuring that proceeds from key designs support the charity Brave Mind.
McGown explained: “Seeing our designs become part of someone’s personal expression, seeing their confidence boosted, raising awareness around mental wellbeing, or even just being their reason to smile, means everything to me.
“And to have the future queen wear one of our designs is quite remarkable – a true pinch-me moment. It’s a testament to the love and care that goes into what we have created and such an honour to have our work recognised on such a global scale.”
