Comedian Jack Whitehall has revealed he was “dropped” as a friend by Prince Harry after the royal began dating Meghan Markle.
The 36-year-old British comic made the admission during an appearance on Australian radio show Jase & Lauren whilst touring Down Under.
“I was quite good friends with Harry back in the day. Pre-Meghan, when he was a terror,” Whitehall told the show.
“I was dropped,” he quickly added, suggesting the friendship ended after Harry began dating the former Suits actress in 2016.

Whitehall clarified he wasn’t present during Prince Harry’s infamous Las Vegas incident, where the royal was photographed naked during a game of “strip billiards” at a private party.
“No annoyingly, I wasn’t there for the naked billiards. But I had a few nights out with him,” the Fresh Meat star explained.
He was quick to downplay his position in Harry’s social circle.
“I mean, I wasn’t, I wouldn’t say part of the inner circle, to go back to a Vegas analogy. But no, I had a few nights out with him when he was quite fun,” Whitehall said.

The comedian’s comments paint a picture of his past relationship with the Duke of Sussex during Harry’s more carefree years.
“I’ve come into contact with a couple of [the royals] in the past,” Whitehall explained on the Australian radio show.
The Bad Education star has previously suggested his exclusion from royal circles might stem from a 2015 Royal Variety Performance joke.
During his How To Survive The Summer Holidays tour, Whitehall revealed: “I think I have been banned because I called him ‘Ginger Nuts’ at the Royal Variety.”

His father Michael added during the show: “That is your friend Harry. Except you are not allowed to see him anymore.”
Whitehall has recently marked significant personal milestones of his own.
The comedian confirmed his engagement to model Roxy Horner in December, with the couple sharing glimpses of her pear-shaped diamond ring on social media.
