Wheel of Fortune was back on screens on Saturday for a festive edition of the gameshow, with celebrities including Tyler West, Richard E Grant and Joanna Page competing to win money for charity.
However, viewers were complaining not long into the episode as they accused the ITV show of becoming “boring” and “easy”.
Hosted by Graham Norton, the celebrity edition saw the famous faces hoping to win big for their chosen cause.
The gameshow sees contestants guessing at famous phrases and words as they attempt to raise the biggest jackpot without going bankrupt.
Minutes into the Christmas episode though, many had taken to social media to complain about the puzzles, which they believed had been simplified.
Taking to X, one penned: “Omg how easy is this show now, I got mince pies before he even picked the letters, actually even my dog got the answer #wheeloffortune.”

A second wrote: “It’s so boring sorry. #WheelOfFortune,” with a third posting: “This entire shows been p*** easy #wheeloffortune.”
“At least make it challenging #wheeloffortune,” a fourth user added.
Another asked: “How did he get not get that #wheeloffortune.”
“When you guess the answer without a single letter its too easy a puzzle ! #wheeloffortune,” someone else argued.
A different viewer added: “‘Mince pies’ has to be the easiest blank puzzle on Wheel Of Fortune in the history of the entire programme. #WheelOfFortune” (sic)
It came after one of the answers to the clues was “mince pies,” and later Gavin and Stacey actress Page struggled to work out a play on a classic Christmas song.
Plenty of viewers had figured out the answer was “Ding Don Merrily on High Heels,” but Page needed all the letters on the board before she managed to guess correctly.
The episode comes as a new series of the civilian series is set to return in January.
Presenter Norton recently commented: “I’m thrilled we are coming back for a second series to challenge more contestants to solve more word puzzles and hopefully they come away with even more cash.
“It’s a game of skill and luck, so you just never know which way it will go and I’m excited to see who can hold their nerve against the wheel.”
