It’s week two of Dancing on Ice and the second batch of celebs are pulling out all the stops to impress the team of judges.

Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are judging this year’s series of ITV’s hit dancing competition, while Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern host the show.

Contestants taking part in this year’s series include Coronation Street actor Sam Aston, reality star Ferne McCann and retired Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave. Former EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, reality star Dan Edgar, The Traitors contestant Mollie Pearce, comedian Josh Jones, soap star Chelsee Healey, presenter Michaela Strachan and former footballer Anton Ferdinand are also taking part.

First up on tonight’s show, January 19, Charlie Brooks and Eric Radford kicked off the performances with a wonderful dance to Gimme Gimme Gimme. The pair scored a reasonable score of 26 out of 40 after all four judges gave a 6.5.

However some fans have taken to social media to speculate over whether they were ‘overmarked’.

On X, formerly Twitter, @IDRigg59 wrote: “6.5? Really? Someone’s definitely got friends in high places”, and @SandieJ3 added: “Think Charlie was a tad over marked”.

@alig1972 wrote: “Here we go, judges over marking again”, and @charmed_92 said: “Tad bit of overmarking there”.

@Sarah2022x said: “How is that a 6.5 she never let go of her partner.”, and @craggsy82 added: “It was OK, just another celebrity surviving on the ice, rather than dancing. 4/10”.

However despite the backlash, there was also lots of praise for the pair’s performance.

@hopalongcassell said: “charlie was iconic”, and @fansvfavourites exclaimed: “oh charlie that was kinda the best skate the show has ever seen… 10s in week 1 i fear”.

@MissMariee88 said: “Charlie did amazing 6.5 from me”, and @Gemma42981517 added: “Liked Charlie not bad for first outing on the ice”.

Elsewhere during episode two, Vicky Ogden and Steve Redgrave scored 17.5 out of 40 and Molly Pearce and Colin Grafton danced to Olivia Rodrigo.
