The relatives of three Israeli hostages who are still being held by Hamas terrorists who are in London for a three-day visit to meet with senior political leaders including the Prime Minister, have asked the UK to put pressure on Qatar to do more and “pick a side”.
Speaking on GB News, Ali Albag, father of Liri Albag, an 18-year-old female who was kidnapped from a bomb shelter near the border said:
“Now it’s past 108 days and we don’t have any news.
“We need to knock on all of the doors that are all over the world and let them understand that today, it’s our situation. Tomorrow, it could be your neighbours.
Ziv Abud, girlfriend of Eliya Cohen, kidnapped at the NOVA party said:
“I think that we need to put more pressure on Qatar because Qatar has a lot of pressure on Hamas. They bring them a lot of money and we think – we know – that if Qatar wanted it tomorrow, they’d be released.
“We don’t have any news about Eliya, I know just that he was injured because I was with him in the shelter at the party.
Also speaking was Liran Berman, brother of twins Ziv and Gali who were kidnapped from their home in Kfar Aza who said:
“Qatar are playing both sides of the field if I give a football analogy. They’re playing on both sides.
“On one hand, they are hosting the leadership, the senior leadership, [Khaled] Mashal and [Ismail] Haniyeh, and on the other hand, they are investing a lot in properties, football teams, and they’ve more properties in the UK than the Royal Family.
“So they need to choose. They’re either with a Western civilization or with a terrorist organization.
“We met the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. I thanked him because he was one of the first Prime Ministers in the world to came to Israel after October 7th and he is very supportive of us. I asked him to continue to put pressure, to continue to put the hostages on the front pages, to continue to talk about them, because this is the worst humanitarian crisis right now for us.”
