With at least 14 major film and TV versions in recent years, Wuthering Heights is one of literature’s most adapted novels.
The village of Haworth in West Yorkshire has been capitalising on its links to the Brontë sisters for years, transforming from a struggling industrial town into a major literary tourist destination, with the Brontë Parsonage Museum serving as a central attraction.
And now, as anticipation builds for Emerald Fennell’s dark retelling of the classic story, guests can step into Cathy’s lavish Thrushcross Grange bedroom in West Yorkshire for an immersive overnight stay at an Airbnb inspired by the film.

I was invited to take an early look at the exclusive room, which is located on the grounds of the Jacobean manor, Holdsworth House in Halifax – the hotel where Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi spent a night at during filming.
The room is at the heart of Brontë Country, where much of the film was shot and is just a 20-minute drive from Haworth, where the Brontë sisters lived.
But unlike the author’s humble home, Cathy’s bedroom at Thrushcross Grange is sprawling and luxurious.
Guests enter an unassuming stone building opposite the hotel, which opens up to a candle-lit, red velvet hallway.

The room channels Cathy’s intensity, offering guests a deeply personal window into her inner world, almost becoming a character of its own – a feverish ode to Cathy as devised by her husband, Edgar Linton.
The skin-toned walls and layered textures make the space feel saturated with her presence, from strands of her hair woven into the table to the vein-like patterns that seem to pulse through the cushions.
Across the road, inside Holdsworth House, the dining room at Thrushcross Grange is brought to life, dressed in silver-toned finery and styled to mirror the film’s world.
Here, guests will be served rich Yorkshire dishes during an indulgent and themed candle-lit dinner, echoing the opulent meals seen on screen.
Beyond these rooms, couples can fall in love again and again, with the stay also including a horseback ride across the countryside, an indulgent afternoon tea, and an intimate listening session of the film soundtrack, featuring Charli XCX.
The stay also includes a visit to the Brontë Parsonage, the home of the Brontë sisters and their literary legacy.
The area has plenty of links to the big screen aside from Wuthering Heights.

Just some of the TV shows and movies that have been filmed here are Wild Child, starring Emma Roberts, Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge and BBC dramas, Last Tango in Halifax, Happy Valley, Gentleman Jack and Riot Women.
While in the area, I visited Haworth and explored the local shops, church and graveyard.
At this time of year, the village is very quiet and peaceful – perfect for a romantic walk in the moors and a pub lunch.
Other nearby attractions include Shibden Hall, the 19th-century home of Anne Lister, Hebden Bridge and the Keighley and Worth Valley railway.

Cathy’s bedroom will be available for three separate stays for up to two guests each for stays across multiple days between 27 February and 4 March.
