King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley is set to be brought back to life virtually as part of a new immersive concert experience.

Dr Renee Hoenderkam spoke to GBNews today and shared her excitement for the new concert.

The show is likely to be similar to the ABBA Voyage which is a virtual concert residency by the Swedish pop group ABBA.

Speaking about her reluctance to watch ABBA Hoenderkam said: “I absolutely didn’t wanna see this, but I thought it was a ridiculous idea, paying to go and see holograms.

“I did. I was dragged along there in a group of people. We were in the dancing area, which I didn’t wanna do either because cause I like a seat when I go to a concert.

“It’s brilliant. Absolutely. It’s not too cramped. I was blown away. My mind was blown by it. It was so good that I then went again and took my 5-year-old and my 79-year-old mother.

“For Elvis, who I believe was the most beautiful man that ever lived, will be stunning. I can’t wait to see it. He’s such a showman as well”

Dawn Neeson, former editor of Daily Star said: “The difference with ABBA voyage is that ABBA are still alive and they did put them in a body motion imaging capture suits, didn’t they?

“And filmed them. You can’t do that with Elvis obviously.

“I’m not sure how they’re going to do it. But I’m sure my mum, who is his biggest fan, will be first in the queue. This is AI that I approve of.”

The show is set to open in London in November before moving to Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo.

Elvis has famously never played in the UK and so British fans have been left very excited.

Layered Reality, the company behind the concert has said it will be a “jaw-dropping concert experience” where a life-sized digital Elvis “will perform iconic moments in musical history on a UK stage for the first time”.

Layered Reality’s founder and CEO Andrew McGuinness said the show would be “a next-generation tribute to the musical legend” and allow people to “step into the world of Elvis and walk in his shoes”.

Elvis rose to fame for his hit songs Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog in the 50s.

He tragically passed away in 1977 at the age of 42.
