A hairdresser took to TikTok to share a simple but game-changing hair hack for stunning strands, advising fellow hair enthusiasts to shampoo twice.
Mary (known as @thisgirldoeshair) divulged her top three tips to get “the best hair of your life without spending a penny”.
The hair guru told women to “start shampooing twice”. She advised: “Double cleansing – whatever you want to call it – shampoo your hair twice if you’re not already doing that.

“This will change the game for you – especially if you have an oily scalp, especially if you use a lot of product, especially if you have a dry, irritated, problematic scalp. You need to get on board with shampooing twice.”
Mary explained that the first round of shampoo “lifts everything off”, while the second round of shampoo “actually cleanses your scalp”.
The expert added that the second lot of shampoo should create more of a lather on your head than the first.
Shampooing just once won’t create the lather you’re after because it is simply focusing on getting rid of build-up.
Once the build-up is gone, the second round of shampoo can create a better lather to cleanse the scalp.
