Model, singer and former I’m A Celebrity star Sam Fox has revealed who she thinks the public will vote to bag the crown of King or Queen of the Jungle in this year’s series.

Fox, who headed Down Under for the 2009 series, spoke exclusively to GB News about this year’s series and whether or not she thinks presenter Nigel Farage stands a chance of winning.

The GB News presenter stands at 10/1 odds to bag the crown with a number of bookmakers including PaddyPower, Betfair and Coral as of Friday but Fox thinks victory could be one step too far for the former Brexit Party leader.

Speaking to GB News on behalf of stocklytics.com, Fox said when asked if Farage could win: “I don’t think so, no. It’s 50/50 with politicians.”

However, there is one campmate who Fox thinks could bag the crown: “I mean, people like Sam (Thompson) I love.

“There’s nothing about him that’s controversial to hate about him. He’s just enthusiastic, friendly, kid-like, play-like, encouraging, supportive, and all the things that you need in that jungle.

“You need to be a team player, you need to care about other people, and then they care about you. You’ve got to become a family.

“And you’ve got to do it for the team at the end of the day. And you’ve got to forget about yourself, really.

“Then you’ve got to feel like we’re all family, we’ve all got to get on, we’re all in the same situation – let’s just get on and do this show.

“Normally, after about, let’s say 10 days, the arguments start when people get very hungry and very tired because when you’re hungry, you can’t sleep and you can get a bit ratty.

“That’s when you wish you were in there because nobody stood in to stick up for Fred. It went on too long, it was stupid. It was like, ‘Hang on, hang on, it’s a figure of speech. Stop this now’.

“And it’s the worst thing you can do at the beginning of the show is try and split up the team because you all need each other in there. And I was wondering (if) next would be Nigel, she will attack Nigel and I’m wondering who’s gonna be next.”

She added: “The other night I was thinking she’s got to get out, she’s gonna start too much trouble in there.

“She’s been a fake, the way she just starts these arguments and makes them bigger than what they are, and picking on the wrong people.

“It’s like Fred is such a gentleman and most people would have said, ‘Oh, shut up, love. It’s a figure of speech, end of story’. That would have been over.

“But then she says, ‘I’m never gonna – I don’t want your food and go over there’. The way she spoke to him was just horrible. Then she don’t eat food for two days, the hunger strike lasted two days.”
