I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers took no prisoners when it came to commenting on the Coming Out show’s editing choices.

Following last weekend’s series finale, which saw McFly’s Danny Jones crowned King of the Jungle – Coleen Rooney and Reverend Richard Coles finished in second and third place – Friday, 13 December brought us all the behind-the-scenes juice we could ever wish for on ITV1.

However, fans of the jungle-based reality programme posting on social media were not so keen on how it was packaged together, with the big end-of-series party seemingly beginning before the last three celebrities even left the camp.

In the Coming Out show, the likes of GK Barry, Melvin Odoom, Jane Moore and Dean McCullough were filmed congregating inside one of the party rooms at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa for the traditional booze-up after three weeks of stomach-churning Bushtucker Trials.

The episode’s timeline didn’t match up, though, as Jones, Rooney and Coles still hadn’t been shown leaving the jungle at this juncture.

“The editing is all over the place, they’ve shown the party they all went to then go to the others coming out what [two laughing emojis],” pointed out one X (formerly Twitter) user.

A second fan of the show wrote: “Weird editing then if that party happens with 3 left in. But then they turn up to it. So it lasted 3 days then?”

The final three eventually joined their glammed-up co-stars for the party – maybe there was just so much material to cram in from before they did so in real-time?

Elsewhere on the Coming Out special, Odoom and McCullough cleared the air after the former’s Harry Houdini joke that had their campmates in stitches.

McCullough had earned a reputation for shirking his responsibilities and Odoom called him out on it, nicknaming him Houdini in reference to the iconic Disappearing Act magician.

“I don’t think people realised why that happened,” explained the BBC Radio 1 presenter. “I was busy doing the water thing, I just wanted you to help so I was thinking, I’m just gonna drop this line with half the camp there, make everyone laugh.”

“I wish you had told me, that upset me,” replied McCullough, with his co-star coming back: “If I’m trying to give someone a message, I always use humour, that’s my number one way of communicating with people, that’s essentially my weapon, and that’s all that was.”

The pair were then filmed harmoniously walking away with their arms around each other’s waists.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! aired on ITV1 and ITVX.
