A Christmas toy sold by Iceland has been recalled as it poses a safety risk to users.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned that Naughty Elf Doll 12″ presents a risk of cuts and injuries as some products may have an accessible sharp edge.

The OPSS stated: “The product presents a risk of cuts and injuries to the user as some products may have an accessible sharp edge.
“The affected batches of the product do not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
“The affected batches have been recalled from end users. Consumers in possession of the naughty elf doll should check their batch details which can be found on the product packaging directly above the barcode label.
“Any consumers who have purchased one of the affected products should stop using it immediately and return it to their place of purchase for a full refund.

In Iceland’s official notice, the supermarket stated: “We have become aware that a product we have sold – Naughty Elf Doll 12” – XMA6032/OB may have a manufacturing defect. Some dolls have a sharp edge that could present danger of cuts.
“Batches 25009 and 23294 are the batches that may be affected. No other batches are affected by this product recall.
“The batch/lot detail can be found on the product packaging directly above the barcode label.”
Iceland also stressed that customers should stop using the affected product “immediately” and instead, return it to the retailer or stockist it was purchased from.
The supermarket apologised for any inconvenience caused to shoppers.
