Horror footage has shown the moment a fight involving masked thugs erupted on a residential street in Prestwich on Tuesday (November 12).

Police were called to the ‘ongoing’ affray on Windsor Road at around 1.30pm. One of the mob could be seen brandishing a crowbar and attempting to strike blows on another person after they ran into the front garden of a home.

Screams of ‘grab him’ could be heard in the footage, seen in full by the Manchester Evening News, as the group of four could be seen running across the street, with another riding on a bike.

One person, wearing all black and a hood, could be seen walking backwards into the street as he lifted up the weapon multiple times. Two others, one on a bike, can be seen moving towards him.

An innocent member of the public then flees inside their house, before another member falls over a bin while appearing to be threatened by the male holding the crowbar.

Another man then intervenes and starts throwing punches as a fight breaks out in the front garden of a home along the street. Two offenders then jump into a black Fiat Punto and flee the scene.

Further details about the incident have not been confirmed. One local however, said: “By the voices, it seems they may have been trying to steal the lad’s coat or bike.”
