Harry and Meghan have had ‘worst year of their professional lives’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “failed hard” and suffered the “worst year of their professional lives”, a royal commentator has claimed in a scathing assessment.

It comes after a year of royal bombshells and legal battles for the pair, with Harry releasing his memoir, Spare, and Meghan joining her husband for a Netflix docuseries being among the notable events.

Despite it being a busy year, the couple have not enjoyed huge success according to Kinsey Schofield.

She told GB News that the couple are “always trying to get a one up” on Princess Kate.

Schofield said this was evidenced by the release of a “glossy” promotional video for the Archewell Foundation, which came just a day after Kate visited a food bank with her children.

“I think that this has been professionally the worst year of Harry and Meghan’s lives”, she said.

“This is not a video they typically release around this time. They usually release this video in January of a recap of everything they’ve done.

“I think they’re trying to distract from the fact that everybody is recognising that they failed hard this year and they don’t want to move into 2024 with this stamp of losers on their foreheads.”

Harry’s memoir became the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time, while the couple’s Archewell’s foundation made $1.2m donations.

Despite their successes, the pair were dubbed the “biggest losers” of 2023 in the Hollywood Reporter.

Schofield said this development would grate on Meghan, as it’s the type of magazine she would have been “glued to” before meeting Harry.

“Harry and Meghan are finding themselves on the losers list because of their constant whining”, she said.

“These are two super blessed people given opportunities you and I are not given, then the content they did create was so disappointing.”

Schofield referenced Meghan Markle’s Netflix project, Pearl, which was ultimately canned by the streaming giant.

This came despite the couple signing a lucrative deal with Netflix to the tune of more than $100 million.

Schofield said the couple have “dropped the ball so many times” when it comes to their projects post royal life.
