Greggs shoppers will be able to pick up new foods and drinks from today as it shakes up its menu.

The fast food chain recently confirmed the vegan steak bake would “take a break” and this would make way for another pastry on the menu.

Greggs has now shared the return of the vegan Mexican chicken-free bake after it was removed from the menu last summer.

It states: “Made with vegan chicken-free pieces, mixed vegetables, and spicy Mexican style tomato sauce, packed into a deliciously crispy pastry case topped with a seasoned crumb topping. It’s back, and it’s just as tasty.”

New drinks will be available in stores

Greggs has shared the vegan steak bake will be pulled from stores but some customers are not happy.

Taking to X, one penned: “@GreggsOfficial I’ve just heard that you’re binning the Vegan Steak Bake again?! Please, don’t do this to us. I love the Vegan Steak Bake. It will be sorely missed.”

Another added: “Please don’t get rid of the vegan steak bake again.”All the non-vegans have loads of options. It’s the only good one. Don’t bring the bean and cheese one back, it’s gross.”

A third continued: “@GreggsOfficial where has the vegan steak bake gone? Don’t do this to us.”

Britons who want to have the steak bake one more time should act quickly as they will still be available in some branches, while stocks last.

A Greggs spokesperson said: “Our vegan steak bake will be taking a break from the menu to make way for a tasty vegan favourite, which will be launching this week. Fans of the vegan steak bake should grab them whilst stocks last.”
