Brighterdaysahead has flown home in the Mersey Novices Hurdle, delivering the Grade One triumph he anticipated would come at Cheltenham last month.

She was surprisingly beaten in the Mares Novices Hurdle but she’s back on track now. And what makes her so good, Gordon?

Just look at her. She’s gorgeous. She’s absolutely gorgeous.

Last year’s winner was third to Galopin Des Champs in the Cheltenham Gold Cup just a month ago. That’s pretty good preparation for the big one today…

Literally we have got the work diary from last year and have been cribbing from it so he has done exactly the same. The only thing that has been different is that the gallops have been a bit deeper because of all the rain.
