BBC Silent Witness viewers have spotted an “annoying” issue just minutes into Monday’s episode.
Part one of the latest instalment, Vanishing Point, saw Emilia Fox’s character Dr Nikki Alexander deal with a crisis at 30,000 feet.
In Monday’s episode, Nikki’s flight back from a conference in Mumbai was interrupted by a passenger taking violently ill on the plane.
Despite not practicing patient care for decades, she was taken far out of her comfort zone when she was called upon the cabin crew to help treat the passenger.
As the ill man collapses after vomiting blood, Nikki is forced to confront the terrifying conclusion that he was sick with something much more sinister that food poisoning.
Deadly virus fears, terrorism, tensions with other passengers and separation from her beau back home, David Caves’ character Jack Hodgson, punctuated the cinematic episode.

To make matters worse, a landing in Azerbaijan had to be aborted leaving Nikki, the crew and the other passengers stuck with an unknown killer onboard until they got back to the UK.
Despite the airborne dramatics, it was a moment in the first few moments of the show that caught viewers’ attention.
While waiting in the airport, Nikki called home to speak to Jack over speakerphone – leaving viewers dumbfounded.
Reflecting on her conference keynote experience, Nikki said: “No-one snored, thank goodness! And they asked lots of follow-ups. I even managed the intro in Hindi.”

“Look at you! Jet-setting multilingual expert on immunohistochemical methods to estimate time since death! You deserve all the free champagne you get!” Jack responded over the phone.
The heartwarming conversation continued, with Jack adding: “Can’t wait to see you. How about I pick you up at the airport? We could go for breakfast at that place by the river.”
“The answer to breakfast with you will always be yes,” Nikki shot back.
Their cute chat was overheard by another waiting passenger, the same who would later take ill.
Of course, he was only able to seemingly innocently listen in as the call was broadcast for all to hear – which fans quickly took issue with on social media.
“Nicky has gone down in my estimation having a personal call on speakerphone #silentwitness,” one slammed on X.

Another exclaimed: “Nooooo!! Don’t be the annoying person who puts their mobile on speaker whilst in public. #silentwitness”
“Get your phone off speaker. Rude. #SilentWitness,” a third demanded.
A fourth agreed, adding: “You (Dr Nikki Alexander) aren’t 14! #silentwitness”
“#SilentWitness love it when people have conversations on loud speaker in public places,” a fifth wrote sarcastically.
