Former Gogglebox star Sandra Martin has caused outrage over her “entitled” refusal to sit in the middle seat for a plane journey.

The Brixton-born TV personality rose to fame as a mainstay of the popular Channel 4 show from 2013 to 2017.

Martin has sparked anger again after she refused to sit in the middle seat on a plane and posting about her predicament to Instagram on Sunday.

In her post, she filmed the empty chair between two other travellers, writing the caption: “Am a celebrity, get me another seat”.

“There’s one person there, I’m not showing your face, and there’s one person there and they want me to sit there!” Martin fumed, panning the camera between the other seated flyers and her own booked place.

She added: “No! I’m a celebrity, I’m Sandra Gogglebox. I’m a celebrity… get me out of here!”

“I cannot sit in that spot. I can’t breathe, I’mgonna faint, I’mgonna fart,” the Gogglebox star joked turning the camera back towards herself.

Martin insisted: “If there’s a space with me on my own, I’ll have it. But not this one.”

Later, a triumphant Martin posted a selfie video of herself now on the aisle seat thanks to a “lovely lady” agreeing to move.

She explained with a grin: “The planes full, so I’ve got the aisle because I told her: ‘I can’t stay in the middle’.”

Fans online did not share Martin’s joy at getting her seat changed, with many taking to her posts comments to blast the former Gogglebox icon.

“Pre-book and pay for your seat instead of acting entitled,” one slammed.

Another exclaimed: “YOU ARE NOT A CELEBRITY SANDRA! WAKE UP LOVE.”

“Girl, you’re embarrassing yourself! Celebs don’t beg ah free seat from budget airlines. Go look (for a) job now and stop this,” a third advised.

A fourth fumed: “You think you’re entitled because you was on the tv? Oh please have a rest.”
