According to the latest available BARB data, GB News beat Sky News in November by securing 70,430 average monthly live views compared to Sky News’ 67,670.

The most recently published data for November 1 to 30 reveals GB News outperformed Sky News by securing more live viewers between 6am to 2am.

This is the first time the People’s Channel has overtaken its rival across an entire month.

GB News beat Sky News on multiple days in November 2024 and particularly excelled on the 19th, the day of the farmers’ protest in London, where it secured 90,000 average live views between 6am and 2am.

The channel dedicated a significant proportion of its coverage to the story with presenters travelling to London with farmers before covering the peaceful protest in the Capital.

Numbers soared again on the 20th, when Storm Shadow missiles were fired into Russia, and where GB News secured 83,000 live views.

On the evening of the 20th, GB News screened a world exclusive interview with Eric Trump who spoke about his father’s impending return to the White House.

Editorial Director Mick Booker said GB News’ success over Sky News is just the beginning, and that the channel is focusing on working hard to grow further and faster.

“GB News isn’t just a broadcaster,” he said. “It’s a community that is getting bigger every day.

“People trust us to tell their stories, and the day-to-day story of Britain, openly and honestly with free and respectful speech. We will work hard to keep that trust and keep building our community.”
