- Frustrations boiled over on pitch during game between Gabriel and Declan Rice
- ‘Five, six, seven years of rock and roll football’… have Liverpool fans been spoilt under Jurgen Klopp? It’s All Kicking Off
Gabriel and Declan Rice engaged in a heated exchange of words during Arsenal’s defeat against Fulham on Sunday.
Heading into the game the Gunners had a golden opportunity to reclaim their spot at the top of the Premier League table, with title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City having played one fewer game.
And they look poised to do just that Bukayo Saka was in the right place at the right time to tap in a rebound and give the Gunners the lead after just five minutes at Craven Cottage.
Despite going behind Marco Silva’s side responded well throughout the first-half and Raul Jimenez connected with a cross from Tom Cairney to equalise for the hosts before the interval.
As control of the game continued to slip away from the visitors after a difficult run of form frustrations were clearly evident among Mikel Arteta’s side on the pitch.

Mikel Arteta’s side could find themselves five points off the pace if Liverpool defeat Newcastle on Monday
One clip showed Gabriel and Rice exchanging words just moments before Bobby Decordova-Reid netted for Fulham to give them the lead.
The Gunners chased an equaliser throughout the final half-hour but were unable to get back on level pegging as Mikel Arteta’s side slumped to fourth in the table.
Arteta’s side have now won just one of their last five Premier League games, with the sole victory coming in their 2-0 win against Brighton earlier this month.
Should Liverpool emerge victorious when they play host to Newcastle on Monday, Jurgen Klopp’s team will have a five-point lead over Arsenal as we pass the midway point of the season.
