Something that may not be considered is the cost of the move, he said.

The expat explained it is important to find a “well-regarded provider” for removals.

Jonathan told GB News: “Consider the costs of removal.

“If you are taking things with you there could be import costs, local taxes and substantial transportation costs.”

Jonathan – who runs his business Rosely Group from abroad – added finances can be very different in another country.

He recommended getting to know how it works before moving.

Jonathan continued: “Consider the taxes and costs of working in this country.

“It could be substantially different to what you are used to – especially if you are an entrepreneur or business owner as the rules differ.”

He said: “Aside from this the pace of life is more aligned towards families and towards making the most of each day.

“People aren’t rushing in the same way as they were in the UK and people take time to find a work-life balance.

“In Holland, you go everywhere on your bike too so the general activity in a day is more and we feel much healthier.”
