British rapper Example has welcomed his third child, a baby boy named Lucas Winter Cox Gleave, who arrived four weeks earlier than expected on New Year’s Day 2025.
The 42-year-old musician, whose real name is Elliot Gleave, shared the joyful news that his girlfriend Daisy Cox had given birth to their first child together.
The couple’s son, already nicknamed ‘Lukey Baby’ and ‘Gorge Lucas’, bears a surname combining both parents’ family names.
“Arrived 4 weeks ahead of schedule and he’s absolutely perfect. Best NYD present ever. And no one gonna forget his birthday ever,” the star announced on social media.
Example confirmed that both mother and baby are doing well following the early arrival.
The new father shared three black and white photographs on Instagram to mark the special occasion.
One touching image showed Example, wearing a surgical hat, kissing Daisy’s forehead as she cradled their newborn son.
Another intimate photograph captured baby Lucas holding onto his father’s finger.
The announcement prompted an outpouring of congratulations from fellow celebrities.
Former footballer Wayne Bridge wrote: “Love it congrats,” while fitness coach Joe Wicks commented: “Ah mate what a wonderful gift. Congratulations to you both. Enjoy all those Chesty’s.”

Example and Daisy signed off their announcement with a simple message: “Mummy and baby doing great. E&D xx.”
Example began dating art advisor Daisy Cox in 2023, just five months after announcing his separation from former wife Erin McNaught.
The musician and McNaught had been married for 11 years after meeting in 2011 when she interviewed him for MTV Australia.
Example shares two sons with McNaught – Evander, 10, and Ennio, seven. The former couple announced their split in 2022.
They released a joint statement in 2023 describing their new arrangement as “amicable as it gets” with their sons “surrounded with love.”
Example has spoken positively about the relationship between his current partner and ex-wife, revealing that Daisy and Erin are “genuinely good friends.”
He maintains a close friendship with McNaught, describing them as still being “besties.”
