Dubbed the ‘Eurostar Ski train’, the high-speed rail company has launched its transport option that takes passengers to the French Alps.

Skiers and snowboarders can now skip the difficult transfers with their bulky equipment and purchase a Eurostar Snow ticket.

The route travels from London St Pancras International to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, connecting at Lille Europe.

It stops at a range of popular snow spots including Chambery, Albertville, Moutiers, Aime-La-Plagne, Landry and Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

‘You’ll be dropped right at the foot of some of the best ski resorts in the Alps,’ Eurostar’s website reads.

The train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice runs from December 20, 2025 to March 28, 2026.

It sets off on Saturdays at 9.01am.

While the return journey is from December 27, 2025 to April 4, 2026, with the train departing on Saturdays at 1.45pm or Sundays at 10.54am.

Those carrying skis or snowboards with them won’t need to worry as Eurostar assures customers, ‘We’ve got plenty of space for bigger bags on board’.

Adult passengers are permitted to bring along two pieces of luggage, up to 85cm long, as well as one piece of hand luggage, skis and a snowboard.

On board, passengers can charge their devices and use the Wi-Fi.

Holidaymakers can also grab food at the Eurostar Café, or be served a meal at their seat if they’ve booked Eurostar Plus.

For passengers heading to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, when they arrive at the station Eurostar says there should be ‘plenty of coaches ready to whisk you to your destination’.

Meanwhile, those heading to Chambery, Albertville, Moutiers, Aime-La-Plagne, or Landry will have to make a ‘speedy stop’ at the station.

The journey to Bourg-Saint-Maurice takes just under eight hours, and the return trip takes nine.

A single ticket to the popular ski spot is priced from £250 on Saturday, December 27.

Back in October, Eurostar said it will order up to 50 two-storey trains for its London St Pancras routes to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam through the Channel Tunnel.

The €2 billion (£1.7 billion) investment is part of a growth strategy to increase passenger capacity and will mark the first time a double-decker train fleet operates in the UK.

The fully electric fleet will be named Eurostar Celestia, which is derived from the Latin word caelestis, meaning ‘heavenly’.
