Electric vehicle owners could see major savings this summer at almost 200 locations across the UK as part of a limited-time offer.
One of the largest chargepoint operators in the UK, Gridserve, is launching its new app and will give drivers 20 per cent off charging all summer long.
When paying through the app, drivers will be able to save 20 per cent on their spending between now and Tuesday, October 1, later this year.
Motorists can make use of this offer at over 190 locations on the Electric Highway, including Electric Forecourts, Electric Forecourts, Electric Super Hubs and Electric Retail Hubs.

The new Gridserve app can be used to find the best charging location through Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze, with drivers being shown the real-time status of the charging hub.
Through the app, many drivers will be able to monitor their vehicles when charging, including the charging curves and when their vehicles are fully charged.
Rebecca Trebble, chief customer experience officer at Gridserve, said the company was “thrilled” to be launching the new app and making it more convenient for drivers to charge.
She added: “200,000 charging sessions are recorded on the Gridserve Electric Highway every month and the new app will make those charging sessions even easier.
“We have listened to our users and made it easier to receive receipts as we look to constantly improve our service.
“With 20 per cent off charging across our locations this summer, it’s the perfect time to utilise the network and the app for a summer adventure.”
Once drivers have finished charging their electric vehicles, the receipts will automatically be emailed to the user, with the previous 12 charging sessions automatically stored on their accounts.
The latest data from EV charging database Zapmap shows there are more than 62,500 devices around the UK, across almost 33,000 locations – a year-on-year increase of 43 per cent.
Gridserve has the fifth largest market share of rapid and ultra-rapid charging devices across the UK with 779 chargers, falling behind InstaVolt, Tesla Supercharger, BP Pulse and Osprey.
It is also continuing to expand its High Power network with 170 charging bays already installed so far this year, and further plans to install more in the near future.
The EV charging company is also committed to achieving net zero emissions with its “pioneering” Sun-to-Wheel platform which uses solar energy and batteries to power its charging network.
As part of the rollout of the new app, Gridserve has called on the emoji governing body Unicode to launch a new emoji depicting an electric vehicle charger.
