Households can save up to £2,500 on new heat pump installations through a combined offer from EDF and Ideal Heating launched this autumn.
The package includes a £1,000 discount on heat pump purchases, plus additional savings of at least £1,500 through the Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff.
This initiative aims to help more customers move away from gas heating systems, making the transition to greener energy more affordable and bringing down energy bills.
As part of the Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff, customers will get a comprehensive package worth £1,150, featuring a free 7-year warranty with servicing and maintenance.
Customers will also receive free electricity for the month of December 2025. The three-year tariff provides six hours of discounted zero-carbon electricity daily throughout the year.
This offers savings of at least £164 compared to Standard Variable prices. Notably, the tariff comes with no exit fees or tie-ins, providing flexibility for customers making the switch to greener heating solutions.

EDF has launched a new deal which could see households save hundreds of pounds
GETTY / PA
With the Government’s Boiler Upgrade Grant of £7,500 (or £9,000 in some rural Scottish areas) and the new discounts, complete heat pump systems now start from as low as £3,500.
EDF is offering finance options to help customers manage the installation costs. A new Recommendation Scheme allows heat pump customers to earn £250 cashback for themselves
They can also secure a £250 discount for friends through referrals. These incentives make the transition to heat pump technology more financially accessible for UK households.
Philippe Commaret, the managing director of Customers at EDF, outlined why families should consider heat pumps in an effort to bring down energy costs.
He explained: “We know that many households are eager to transition away from using gas as a fuel in their homes, but cost can be a significant barrier.
“That’s why, in partnership with Ideal Heating, we’re pleased to be launching a substantial discount on new heat pumps this autumn, making this greener option more affordable for customers.”
Mark Derbyshire, Managing Director at Ideal Heating, added: “We are delighted to partner with EDF. By integrating our high-quality heat pump technology with EDF’s extensive reach and resources, we aim to offer customers heating solutions that are both better for the environment and help customers save money.”
Ideal Heating brings over 100 years of experience in manufacturing and installing heat pumps across the nation and provides support through helplines operating 364 days a year.
Their Logic Air heat pump has earned Quiet Mark Approval, making it one of the market’s quietest models.
The £1,000 discount offer is available to both new and existing customers who sign up for an Ideal Heating heat pump before November 24, 2024.
However, the offer is limited to the first 100 eligible customers who apply.
