Earl Spencer’s estranged wife released a new statement amid a heartbreaking goodbye.

Karen Spencer, 52, reflected on her time at Althorp House during her 13 years of marriage to Earl Charles Spencer.

The former couple, who announced their divorce in June, restored the Althorp Estate by overseeing major renovations, a process that took “over four years of study, working with architects and planners.”

In her new Instagram statement, she described herself as a “Social entrepreneur, always looking for innovative solutions to address social, cultural or environmental challenges.”

She continued: “That’s the lens I arrived here at Althorp with. What a treasure trove this place is for someone like me.”

“There has been so much learning in my 13 years here and I have met so many extraordinary people who have supported that journey.

“I thought I’d spend the coming months in this transitional time sharing some of that learning and introducing you to some of those amazing individuals.

“It has been a wonderful opportunity to care for this remarkable place and help preserve its history, and I’ve really enjoyed sharing that journey with you.”

She told her nearly 100,000 followers that she would continue to share insights on Instagram and in her newsletter.

She also directed readers to her website and YouTube channel, encouraging them to watch her journey and revealed that she will release her first newsletter on Friday.

Her statement was released under a photo of the attic bedroom, which she revealed was one of the last projects she had completed.

The post, showing a room with flowers on the wallpaper, was flooded with comments wishing the 52 year old good luck for her feature.
