The Duchess of Edinburgh is playing a crucial role in helping Prince Edward step up ahead of an important milestone.
Prince Edward’s wife, Sophie, has been showing her support as the prince continues to represent the Royal Family at events across the country.
The Duke of Edinburgh will lead the Royal Family in celebrating Anzac Day in London on Thursday.
The event marks the anniversary of the start of the First World War Gallipoli landings and is a national day of remembrance for Australia and New Zealand.

Ingrid Seward, royal editor, said that Edward’s “marriage and fatherhood have matured” the prince.
Writing in the MailOnline, she said that Edward “credits much of this to his wife Sophie.”
Major General Sir Michael Hobbs also said about Edward’s personality: “There is a degree of softness there which makes him a thoroughly decent chap.”
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, spoke about what a “good team” she and her husband make during a speech dedicated to Edward for his 60th birthday.
She said: “He has been my guide and shown me the way over the years. He has given me much help and advice, not always taken I admit, and his knowledge and instincts that have been honed over decades of service are invaluable.
“He is the best of fathers, the most loving of husbands and still is my best friend.”
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh share two children: Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex.
They welcomed their daughter Lady Louise on November 8, 2003, and had their second child, James, on December 17, 2007.

The Duchess of Edinburgh has been undertaking engagements with and without her husband as the King and Princess Kate step back from public duties as they undergo cancer treatment.
Last week, the duchess travelled alone to Somerset to attend the Field to Food Learning Day where she was pictured petting sheep and pigs.
As Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations, the duchess attended the event, which focused on educating young people about farming and food production.
During her visit, Sophie’s natural warmth shone through as she held hands with young children stroking animals in a pen surrounded by hay.
