Dr Pam Spurr has spoken to GB News after she was blocked on X by the broadcaster Davina McCall.
Dr Pam is an award-winning sex and relationship columnist for The Sun and is known for her candid advice and honesty, but she may have taken it too far for McCall.
McCall’s new book is all about menopause and is looking to debunk rumours. It has been described as something that will equip women to make the most informed decisions about their health, and their lives.
Realising that she “had glaring omission” in her work, McCall called out to the transgender and non-binary community and asked them to contact her and share their own experience with menopause.

Posting a video on her social media McCall said: “I am editing my book and I’ve just realised there is a glaring omission. I really would love to hear from you.
“If you are a trans man or non-binary and you have ovaries and you are experiencing menopause in some way, you’re very underrepresented. You were about to be underrepresented in my book, which is a terrible thing and I’m sorry about that.”
Doctor Pam responded on X by saying “gender ideology is misogynistic, homophobic, and unsafe for children. Many women won’t buy your book now, Davina, because women are sick to death of being sold out by the gender cult. Listen to women Hashtag Sex matters.”
Speaking to Mark Dolan on GB News, Dr Pam said: “I was furious to see that she’s appealing to what is most likely many vulnerable women who have bought into the fantasy that they were born in the wrong body.

“If you look at things like the Cass review into the Gender Identity Service, you see that 70 per cent of young people who believe this have five or more comorbidities.
“They might have depression, eating disorders, they’ve been bullied. They have internalised homophobia. They have all sorts of issues, maybe trauma. And so these are a very vulnerable population.
“Davina has a massive and powerful platform. Early menopause is brought on for many of these women who take masculinising hormones. I wish Davina had educated herself on the issues these women face.
She added: “I think she was not thinking, or she had not informed herself about the group she had appealed to.

When asked how she felt about being blocked, she said: “I was surprised and disappointed because I felt the post to her was forthright. I did not feel it was rude or aggressive.
“When I get a forthright tweet like that, I either answer it or ignore it. I block tons of people who use vile language, make horrible accusations, or keep coming back at me.
“I block people all the time for that but not from someone just stating frankly and forthrightly their opinion. Of course, that is her prerogative. She can block her if she wants.”
Dolan pointed out that McCall was not there to defend herself and said: “Don’t some people feel that they are in the wrong body, though? Would you not acknowledge that psychology?”
She responded: “It’s not kind or nice to encourage women to take harmful, unnecessary hormones or to encourage them to believe this myth that they are in the wrong body. There’s no such thing.”
