Trying to manage blood sugar levels effectively can be difficult for people as they are unsure of what foods to eat.

With fast food and highly processed foods becoming increasingly prominent, people wanting to reduce their blood sugar levels may feel lost as to what to have.

Content creator, Dr Berg simplified things down and provided people with four foods to include in their diet to stabilise their blood sugar levels quickly and efficiently.

The doctor, from the YouTube channel Dr. Berg Shorts, recommended people include eggs in their diet and emphasised the importance of having the yolk.

He said: “Eggs have the highest quality protein without carbohydrates. The yolk of the egg is like taking a multivitamin-mineral supplement.”

The second food the doctor recommended for people to add to their diets was leafy greens.

He explained: “These salads have a great amount of potassium, magnesium and phytonutrients.”

Phytonutrients possess many health benefits such as reducing inflammation, supporting people’s immune systems which is particularly important during the winter months and helping bone health.

Including red meat in your diet such as beef or pork has also been recommended by the doctor.

He said: “The nutrition in red meat is even slightly better than eggs.

“In addition, the high-quality amino acids and grass-fed beef will help stabilise your blood sugars within minutes.”

Amino acids act as the building blocks of proteins and have many benefits attached to them including, supporting the digestive system and energy production.

The last recommendation the doctor made was to have one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a glass of water.
