I’m A Celebrity’s Dean McCullough and Melvin Odoom are set to clash in a rather tense confrontation during tonight’s Coming Out show over the controversial “Houdini” nickname.
The Radio 1 DJs will lock horns in awkward scenes as they discuss comments made about McCullough’s work ethic during their time in the jungle.
The heated exchange, which takes place after both stars have been eliminated from the show, reveals underlying tensions about camp chores between the campmates.
The dramatic moment unfolds at their luxury Gold Coast hotel, where contestants stayed following their exits from the reality show.
Odoom’s nickname controversy began during camp duties when the radio DJ and McCullough were paired up to collect water for their campmates – ensuring it was full throughout the day.
McCullough quickly expressed his dislike for the chore, stating: “It’s an awful job and I hate it and I don’t want to do it anymore.”

Odoom became frustrated when he found himself completing the water duties alone, telling fellow campmates: “This is a lone man situation, he’s very good at disappearing.”
The situation came to a head when Odoom publicly dubbed McCullough as “Houdini” in front of other contestants, explaining: “Listen, your new name is Houdini because you like to disappear.”
The joke quickly went viral on social media, adding to the tension between the two radio presenters.
During tonight’s confrontation, McCullough initially approaches the subject lightheartedly, saying: “I love how the whole Houdini popped off, the memes were brilliant.”

However, the conversation quickly turns serious when the star expresses his hurt: “I wish you had told me, that upset me.”
Odoom defends his approach, explaining: “If I’m trying to give someone a message, I always use humour, that’s my number one way of communicating with people.”
McCullough challenges this by referencing Odoom’s comments in the Bush Telegraph: “I saw Bush Telegraphs of you saying, ‘Oh, it’s another chore to ask Dean to do the chores’.“
Odoom insists his nickname was simply a cry for help: “Me calling you Houdini was my way of telling you I need help.”
In the end, despite the heated exchange, the two presenters appear to resolve their differences by the end of their conversation.
Odoom attempts to downplay the incident, saying: “It’s a minor bro, it’s a minor, don’t worry about it.”
McCullough responds pointedly: “Yeah, tell that to the papers.”
The segment concludes with the pair walking away with their arms around each other, with Odoom making a light-hearted comment: “OK. I’ll know for next time we’re in the jungle carrying buckets of water.”
Elsewhere in the Coming Out special, the campmates are treated to a video message from Tulisa following her early exit from Australia.
The N-Dubz singer was nowhere to be seen during Sunday’s finale as Danny Jones was crowned King of the Jungle but she puts rumours of a rift to bed with a sweet message to her co-stars.
