Former UFC fighter Darren Till has called out Ian Garry after a video emerged of the Irishman struggling to speak on the phone.

Garry was ruled out of his bout in UFC 296 against Brazilian Vicente Luque following a pneumonia diagnosis.

The 13-0 Welterweight did not show up to media day obligations on Wednesday in Las Vegas and confirmed the fight is off as he continues to battle illness.

It remains to be seen if Luque can find a late substitute for the fight but American Kevin Holland has offered to step in having already called out Garry for failing to show.

Now Till has also done the same after footage emerged of Garry struggling to speak on the phone during an interview.

Garry was being interviewed on TNT Sports and phoned in but throughout the conversation it was clear he was struggling to speak.

‘The Future’ opened the call by saying ‘I can barely breathe, it’s upsetting, it’s annoying, ‘it’s irritating’, and continued to pause throughout the interview.

Meanwhile Till has taken to social media site X to call out the rising Irish star saying ‘I’m not buying this I’ll be honest.’

Garry is yet to respond to the Englishman, who is currently navigating life away from the UFC as a free agent.

It comes after a tumultuous build up to this UFC 296 clash with the Irish rising star dealing with the spotlight shining brighter than ever.

His wife Layla Machado Garry’s short 2010 book ‘How to be a WAG’ resurfaced and led to fans and fellow fighters such as Sean Strickland and Colby Covington posting a number of taunts.

The Hook double

Garry later revealed he had been worrying about the safety of his family in travelling to the US after some of the abuse.

Headlining this UFC card is Leon Edwards, who is looking to defend his title against outspoken American Covington.

There will be further British interest in Las Vegas as Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett takes on Tony Ferguson.

The eccentric American’s career in the UFC cage is thought to be on life-support, and the English fighter could end his stint in the sport, should the younger Pimblett come out on top in emphatic fashion.
