‘This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve. Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll keep pushing, winning, and making history together.’

Ronaldo’s post included a graphic detailing many of the standout moments in his career accompanied by the caption ‘A billion dreams, one journey’.

Ronaldo also recently achieved another landmark as he scored his 900th career goal while playing for Portugal against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League.

This week Ronaldo has again criticised United boss Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman admitted his team cannot win the Premier League.

‘The coach, they say they cannot compete to win the League and Champions League,’ Ronaldo said.

‘(As) Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you’re not going to fight to win the League or Champions League.

‘You have to be, to mentally say, listen, maybe we don’t have that potential, but I cannot say that. We’re going to try. You have to try.’

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times and has won 33 trophies during his career.
