Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has clapped back at one of her social media followers after they branded her a ‘snob’ over her reaction to a recent purchase.

The actress, who is known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, is often sharing updates with her loyal online following and was clearly excited to show off one of the purchases she had recently made.

However, it appears Lucy wish she hadn’t have bothered. Speaking to her followers in a video posted to her Instagram Story, the soap star said: “This is the bag. Okay, she’s small,” as she opened it up out of its packaging.

As she lifted it up to show the camera, she clearly looked unsure as she said: “Erm, does somebody want to tell me what the f**k that is?” She looked at it for a few more seconds and while looking unimpressed, she tossed it to the side and said: “Next!”

She wrote alongside the post: “Do not get sucked into Instagram ads guys, it is not worth it!” Lucy, 28, went on to post a close-up photo of the bag and said: “It’s giving the sorting hat from Harry Potter.”

But it appears her comments didn’t go down very well as on Wednesday evening (October 23) she shared a screenshot of a message she recieived in response to her vidoe which read: “Don’t be ungrateful!!! Shows signs of a snob tbh (sic).”

Lucy then wrote in response on her Instagram Story: “Amyyyyyy!!!! I don’t think you understand it’s so ugly,” alongside a string of frowning face emojis.

It comes after Lucy was recently branded ‘dreamy’ by one of her Corrie co-stars as she showed off her ‘girly bump’ as she prepares to welcomed her second child. She is more than halfway through her pregnancy with baby number two, a baby girl, with her boyfriend Ryan Ledson.

The couple announced the happy news in an adorable video announcement in August. In the video, posted to both of their Instagram accounts, Lucy and Ryan were seen playing with their one-year-old son, Sonny Jude, at their home before the clip then switches to Lucy rubbing her blossoming baby bump.

Announcing the surprise news, Lucy captioned the video: “Half way there”. It means Lucy is already in her third trimester but is still very much busy on the cobbles as well as in her personal life and has shared a fresh update with fans.

Posting a carousel of images to her Instagram grid last week, Lucy and her blossoming baby bump could be seen as she posed for a mirror selfie in a shop’s changing room, in which she could be seen sporting a maroon-coloured gym outfit with an oversized scarf and rust-coloured cap.

The mum-of-two-to-be also posted picture of her recent scan pictures as well as little glimpses in how she’s been enjoying quality time with her one-year-old son. “Recently,” she captioned the post inbetween stars and yellow love heart emojis.

Corrie co-star Sally Carman-Duttine, who plays Abi Webster in the ITV soap, commented: “You’re dreamy,” with a crying face emoji and a yellow love heart while former co-star Helen Flanagan simply posted a string of love heart eyes emojis in the comments section.
