Conjoined twin ‘influencers’ who have taken social media by storm have been revealed to be AI–generated.

Since joining Instagram just two months ago, Valeria and Camila have gained more than 288,000 followers on the social media platform.

The stunning ‘twins’, who appear to share one body, regularly post photos and videos of them pouting at the camera, wearing skimpy bikinis, and hanging out with their equally glamorous friends.

In addition, they often take to their Instagram Stories to answer questions about their shared body – including intimate details of their dating lives.

The twins, who go by @itsvaleriaandcamila on Instagram, outright deny that they are AI–generated.

However, one expert isn’t so convinced.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Andrew Hulbert, an AI Prompt Engineer who specialises in the use of ChatGPT, confirmed what some eagle–eyed fans have suspected – Valeria and Camila are AI–generated.

‘The narrative is created to hype potential interaction. It’s the perfect story on the perfect person to give the perfect result of engagement which is what the user is aiming for,’ he explained.

@itsvaleriaandcamila joined Instagram in December 2025, and have posted almost 100 photos and videos to their main grid since then.

In many of their photos, the twins wear bikinis or revealing clothing, while in some of the most raunchy videos, they’re seen kissing other women.

They also have an Instagram Story Highlight dedicated to a Q&A, in which they answer fans’ questions about their lives.

In one story, the twins revealed that they’re 25 years old and are born and raised in Florida.

When quizzed on their shared body, they claimed that they have two hearts, and each control one side of their body.

‘We sometimes get the same cravings but we each have our own stomach so we can eat different and sometimes feel hungry or thirsty at different times. It’s all teamwork!’ they explained in response to a question about their brain function.

Unsurprisingly, other questions focused on their love lives, and whether or not the twins are dating.

‘We both date as one and both have to be physically and emotionally attracted to the same guy,’ they explained.

The Daily Mail can now confirm what many sceptics have suspected - the twins really are AI-generated

Some of their fans appear to be enamoured with the twins, and regularly comment on their photos and videos

The key signs the twins are AI–generated

  • Hyper–stylised, flawless body image
  • Inconsistencies with body part size
  • Narrative created to hype potential interaction
  • Eyes are too polished/glamorous/perfect, ‘like a Barbie doll’
  • Fingers, ears and skin imperfections
  • No imperfections from the photography itself
  • Gibberish text

‘We tried dating separately and that did not go well. It’s more difficult to date as on since we don’t ALWAYS agree but, we make it work sometimes.’

Some of their fans appear to be enamoured with the twins, and regularly comment on their photos and videos.

‘Are they real? They look amazing,’ one fan commented, while another wrote: ‘You look so beautiful.’

However, others have questioned their authenticity.

‘Is this AI?’ one user asked, while another added: ‘Do people really think this is real?’

In the hopes of putting these rumours to bed, the twins posted a video to their Instagram Story denying that they are fake.

‘We move, we talk, we’re obviously not AI,’ they said, before giggling at the camera.

However, the Daily Mail can now confirm what many sceptics have suspected – the twins really are AI–generated.

Beyond the eyes, the twins' fingers, ears, and flawless skin also indicate that they're AI-generated

'As someone who consults on the use of AI in business, processes and marketing, these images are clearly AI generated,' Mr Hulbert confirmed

‘As someone who consults on the use of AI in business, processes and marketing, these images are clearly AI-generated,’ Mr Hulbert confirmed.

The expert has highlighted several key signs that indicate the women are not real.

Firstly, he points to their hyper–stylised, flawless body – which many of the twins’ friends also have.

‘These images are the personification of what the media thinks beauty is and there isn’t a flaw amongst any of them,’ Mr Hulbert explained.

‘This is unrealistic, certainly as more characters are added. It’s improbable to have 3 “perfect” people with flawless bodies in the same photo.’

In addition, the expert points out inconsistencies with body-part size across different photos.

‘It’s improbable that both faces would tan identically too,’ he said.

Next, Mr Hulbert focuses on the twins’ eyes, which he calls a ‘key giveaway’.

The photography itself is too perfect to be real, according to experts

The AI experts points to their hyper–stylised, flawless body – which many of the twins’ friends also have

‘Too polished/glamorous/perfect like a barbie doll. These “people” look like they just came out of a box. Life doesn’t work that way,’ he explained.

Beyond the eyes, the twins’ fingers, ears, and flawless skin also indicate that they’re AI–generated.

Mr Hulbert said: ‘AI is not quite there yet with perfect consistency. So look out for the shape of the ears, the number of fingers, or marks/scars appearing in the exactly same place, everything.’

Finally, the expert points to the photography itself, which he claims is too perfect to be real.

‘There’s no imperfections from the photography itself either. Every image is perfect,’ he told the Daily Mail.

‘Even the best cameras have marks, glare, imperfections. They are never absolutely perfect.’

Meanwhile, a key sign that has raised suspicions on one image is gibberish text in the back of a photo of the twins in an ice cream shop.

‘Upon zooming in on the menu, can confirm it’s AI,’ one commenter said.

Valeria and Camila are part of the growing trend of AI models and influencers, which have been called a ‘terrifying glimpse into the future’.

Worryingly, experts have warned that their proliferation could impact our perception of beauty standards.

Charlotte Fox Weber, a psychotherapist and author of What We Want, previously told the Daily Mail: ‘AI influencers aren’t just attractive – they’re algorithmically perfected. Hyper–symmetry, fantasy proportions, no pores, no limits.

‘The danger is that repeated exposure quietly shifts our baseline for “normal” beauty, making our own bodies – and our partners’ – feel lacking. The brain doesn’t care that it’s not real; it just adapts.’
