What did you miss?
Chris McCausland joked he was “sick of the smell” of The Wheel contestant Andy on Saturday, 21 December’s edition of the gameshow, after the guest expert kept being picked for his questions.
Fresh from winning Strictly Come Dancing’s Glitterball trophy alongside Dianne Buswell, the blind comedian was one of the many famous faces offering their knowledge, which included The One Show presenter Alex Jones, Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan and ice-skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Andy, who has cerebral palsy, found it hilarious that he and McCausland were buddied up several times, and wasn’t shy about throwing a few jibes his way.
What, how and why?
Ahead of their first question, which was ‘What does the T stand for in the term TKO?’, the player pointed out: “Chris, I’m just really surprised that we’ve got two disabled guys answering a boxing question!”
“Between the two of us we make a full person!” laughed McCausland, much to the amusement of host Michael McIntyre and the rest of the studio.

As he prepared for his second question, Andy told McIntyre: “I’ll lock out Chris because he’s probably sick of the sight of me!”
Seeing the funny side of his lighthearted quip, the comic replied: “Sick of the smell of you!”
What is McCausland doing next?
2024 has been the stand-up’s biggest year yet, thanks to his star-making stint in the Strictly ballroom, but 2025 looks set to be another doozy.
McCausland recently told ITV talkshow Lorraine: “In terms of going out [on tour] in January, I didn’t think I’d be going on tour off the back of Strictly. I thought I’d be going off the back of two months off. It’s a long tour, there’s a lot of dates but it’s going to be a doddle compared to Strictly.
“It’s going to be a joy to get out there and just do an hour and a half a day.”
