Caleb Williams threw a pass into his teammate’s face as the Chicago Bears offense malfunctioned in the early stages of their London game against Jacksonville.

Chicago managed just seven yards in their first six plays as they were forced to punt on each of their opening two drives at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Williams, the No 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, had early problems finding his wide receivers in London.

And the Bears’ offensive struggles hit a hilarious new low when Williams’ attempted pass found only the face of offensive lineman Matt Pryor.

The quarterback looked to make a sidearm pass after escaping some pressure, only for Pryor to get in his way the linebacker made a block.

The ball dropped into space but it was ruled an incomplete pass, fortunately for the Chicago quarterback.

The clip soon flooded social media, with fans trolling Williams over the pass. ‘Clown show so far,’ one wrote. ‘As a bears fan this is funny,’ another wrote.

Some fans on social media dug out a clip from the Bears’ game against the Falcons in 2022, when former quarterback Justin Fields threw a pass into the back of the head of teammate Michael Schofield.

On Sunday, Williams recovered from the comical error by twice finding tight end Cole Kmet in the end zone as Chicago raced into a 14-3 halftime lead.
