Britons planning their next staycation have been recommended a stunning autumnal escape just 90 minutes from London by train.
The quintessentially British district of New Forest is a haven for wild horses, ponies, and donkeys, which roam freely through local woodlands.
TikToker Adell_Explores, recently highlighted the spot in a TikTok clip, where she highlighted the best attractions around.

“From Charming villages to a lively harbour and a class car museum, there’s something for everyone.
“We spent a weekend at Argentor Cottage, an 18th-century cottage located in the heart of the New Forest and a short drive from Beaulieu.
“Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation with friends and family, this incredible property was the perfect base for our time here.”
The enchanting national park boasts a network of walking and cycling paths, inviting visitors to explore enchanting forests and breath-taking landscapes.
Forestry England states that the New Forest is one of Europe’s most important locations for nature and conservation.
The area’s unique mix of landscapes including ancient woodlands, wetlands and bogs, and open heathlands means it is home to many rare species of plants and wildlife long since lost from the UK and Europe.
“There are loads of hikes you can do, we went on Tall Trees Trail which takes you through some of the tallest Redwoods in England,” explained Adell.
“As you’re driving around you’ll spot the wild ponies, donkeys and cattle that roam free in the New Forest.
“Buckler’s Yard has a rich history in naval shipbuilding, there’s a harbour, restaurant, museum and workshop that you can visit.”
As autumn descends in the UK, visitors can expect breathtaking displays of colour as they embark on scenic strolls through local woodland.

Those looking to enjoy some culture during their stay, however, have a selection of seasonal events and festivals to choose from.
“The National Motor Museum is a thrilling experience that showcases a collection of cars including once from Top Gear, Formula 1 and Harry Potter!” said Adell.
She went on: “You can also explore the historical 13th-century abbey, Palace House, and gardens and ride the free monorail for panoramic views of the estate.
“For towns and villages to visit there’s plenty! We visited Lymington, Brockenhurst, Beaulieu and Lyndhurst during our weekend here and would recommend all of them.”
