• Pop star went viral for a TikTok video in which she tried to get Leclerc’s attention
  • The pair were introduced to each other in the Ferrari paddock ahead of the race
  • Cabello was one of several celebrities in attendance at the Miami Grand Prix

Pop star Camila Cabello and F1 driver Charles Leclerc sent the internet into a frenzy after their exchange at last weekend’s Miami Grand Prix.

The 27-year-old had reached out to the Ferrari star in the form of a viral TikTok that has garnered more than 25 million views. In it she pretends to try and get Leclerc’s attention by screaming his name in increasingly pained and amusing ways.

The singer’s efforts to catch the attention of the Monegasque driver, who is in a relationship with TikTok star Alexandra Saint Mleux, clearly worked as she was pictured greeting him in the Scuderia garage ahead of the race on Sunday.

Not only was Leclerc familiar with the former Fifth Harmony member but he had seen her social media post from a day prior, saying: ‘I saw the TikTok video.’

The pair then laughed, with Cabello unable to hide her delight at the happy conclusion to her social media skit.

Another notable attendee at the race was Leclerc’s partner Saint Mleux. The driver has been linked with the social media star since 2023 and the couple have been spotted at various sporting events including Wimbledon and an NBA game in November last year.

Cabello was one of many celebrities at the star-studded race last weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs duo of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were also spotted at the circuit.

Cabello, who suffered a wardrobe malfunction during a racy photoshoot in L.A. last week, showed up at Miami Gardens in all-black outfit while also sporting her newly bleached blonde hair. She was even seen holding the NBA’s Larry O’Brian trophy at the event.

Another pop singer, Ed Sheeran, was snapped hanging out with Leclerc in the Ferrari paddock.

‘Legend,’ shared Leclerc as a caption to his post of himself and the singer, who was celebrating Ipswich’s promotion to the English Premier League by wearing a team jersey on race day, on X.

Unfortunately for Leclerc, his pre-race brush with the stars did not help in his pursuit of a maiden win this season, though he was able to secure a place on the podium.

The Ferrari star, who is set to be joined by Lewis Hamilton at the manufacturer next season, finished behind Lando Norris and Max Verstappen and moved to within five points of Sergio Perez in the Driver’s Championship.
