Call the Midwife is about to film this year’s annual Christmas episode, which will be the last set in the 1960s. The BBC show took to Instagram on Monday, April 29 to share a behind-the-scenes photo of the Turner family as the actors begin shooting their festive scenes.

The sweet snap shows Laura Main as Shelagh and Stephen McGann as Patrick alongside their onscreen children May, played by April Rae Hoang, and Angela played by Alice Brown. They all stand in front of a brightly lit Christmas tree and pose for the photo sparking a frenzy among fans.

The forthcoming episode, which normally airs on Christmas Day, will be set in 1969 before the series moves to the 1970s for series 14. Besides the photo, the show’s writer and creator Heidi Thomas teased new episodes and said she “can’t wait” for fans to see them.
