Businesswoman books out entire Florida Keys hotel for $20,000 so she can ‘relax without any riff-raff or noisy kids around’

A businesswoman booked out an entire hotel for her birthday – so she could meditate at the beach without any ‘riff-raff’ or noisy kids.

Former model and actress Victoria Unikel says she spent more than $20,000 (£16k) for a 24-hour stay for her 47th birthday at the hotel, located in the Florida Keys, U.S.

She splashed out the huge sum, which was ‘discounted’ as it was mid-week, so that she could enjoy meditation alone on the property’s private strip of sand.

With no one else staying there, she says she and her husband, Gene Avakyan, were able to relax and hear the birds without any disturbances.

Footage shows Victoria meditating with her legs crossed on a deckchair on a deserted beach, to ‘relax’ and also ‘manifest’ future successes.

Victoria, from Miami, said: ‘I booked out the hotel for my birthday. It was fun and allowed me to avoid noisy kids and the hustle and bustle.

‘At the hotel I relaxed at the beach and pool, went to the restaurant and walked around.

‘But my favourite thing I did was meditate. I was doing this on the deckchair at the beach.

‘Because there was no one around it was very peaceful and easier to meditate, and we could hear and enjoy the birds.

‘My meditation is not just to help me calm down. It also allows me to manifest future events – and it works.

‘[Booking out the whole hotel] got rid of the general riff-raff that is normally in hotels, which I don’t like.

‘And while it was a unique experience, I don’t think I’ll do it again next year.’

Victoria co-founded the VUGA Media Group with Gene, and is also a children’s author. She publishing her debut novel – ‘Emma + Luke = Disappear to Nowhere’ – in November, with the story released on Audible last month.

Despite her successes across numerous industries, Victoria is still not satisfied and is set to release a luxury travel clothing collection named ‘RCH BTCH’ later this year, via her fashion brand Unikel Couture.

She says the collection focuses on ‘versatility’, allowing business professionals to enjoy their vacations while still being dressed appropriately for virtual meetings.

Victoria said: ‘I am not 100 per cent satisfied. I want more. I don’t understand the concept of retirement and don’t want to retire.

‘I value travelling and the experiences it brings.

‘I am working on a luxury travel collection that will allow you to travel and hop on to meetings and with clothes from the collection on [as they are appropriate for the office].’
