Five people have been hospitalised after a bus crashed into a high-rise block of flats in Paisley today.
Police, firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene at Hamilton Court on Calside at about 12.20pm.
It is unclear why the bus left the road, but images posted on social media show the extent of the damage to both the vehicle as well as fences surrounding the tower block.
An eyewitness said: “It must have been really frightening for the driver.

“I was in my flat and heard the sirens, I didn’t hear the crash. I was shocked when I came out and seen what had happened.
“A car crashed into the building a few years ago too, it’s a bad bit of road,” they told BBC Scotland News.
A spokesperson for operator McGill’s Buses said: “This is a live incident and McGill’s personnel are in attendance to establish the detail of the crash.”
GB News understands emergency services are still at the scene, while a number of roads have been cordoned off by police.
